you think that letting me do anything i want makes up for it. for all the times you’re not there, for being the child in this relationship, for leaving me at home for countless days so you can spend them with your boyfriend, for yelling at me for something someone else did, and so much more. i don’t get it. i try so hard to spend time with you. i work around your schedule. i listen to you when you have relationship problems. why am i always the one forgotten? you yell at me for not making time for you on my own birthday, when you’ve never spent a birthday alone with me. literally kick me out of the house for it, and then when i cancel all of my plans in hopes for a day spent with you, you say that you don’t want to spend a day alone with me. and now that it’s pretty much the day of my birthday, you decide that you’re too busy to spend even lunch with me. will i ever be enough for you? i just don’t understand. why am i so neglected by you? aren’t you suppose to be my mother? sometimes i wish that you never gave birth to me. that this day never existed.
